Some highlights and pictures form our 2019-2020 President's Awards ceremony. COVID finally gave Robin Hall a chance to hold the awards ceremony.
Wall of Fame – Luis Briones
Luis Briones was the President during the time that Hurricane Harvey hit the Gulf Coast; Friendswood was hit hard but with the efforts of our Rotary Club led by Luis, the club was able to lead and effort that made it possible to distribute over 200K of relief efforts distributed to the flood victims in Friendswood.
Along with the hurricane efforts, Luis was able to bring a new event to Friendswood that has grown into one of the largest events of its kind in the state. The Rotary Regatta is going into its third year and being 8 months out we are already have over 150 interested for the coming year.
Luis has a vision that positively impacts the Friendswood Community and is a true leader in our Rotary Club. Luis has stayed an instrumental part of the club and continues to be a driving force that exemplifies the Rotary motto of “Service Above Self”
